Emerald Green offers a comprehensive, customized Tree and Shrub Program that is designed to improve and maintain plant health and vigor and suppress most common pest problems by using environmentally benign(harmless) and economically sound control strategies. The recommended program for your trees and shrubs may include some or all of the following visits depending on plant type and condition:
An early Spring application of pre-emergent weed control in landscape beds will help to cut back on the amount of weeds you have in your beds throughout the summer. Also, in the early Spring an application of dormant oil sprays will control over-wintering and early season insects and/or mites.
Spring is the beginning of three phases of insect and disease treatment, each phase timed to address the current threat to your trees and shrubs. The Spring treatment addresses the early season insects and diseases. While we are there, we will also apply a foliar fertilization (absorbed by the leaves) to promote a healthy color to your trees and shrubs.
The second phase of the insect and disease treatments addresses the mid-season threat to your trees and shrubs. Again, we also apply the foliar fertilization.
The third phase of the insect and disease treatments addresses the late season threats. Once again, we apply the foliar fertilization to maintain the healthy appearance developed through the Spring treatments.
In the early Fall, we apply pre-emergent weed control in landscape beds. This application will help to cut back on the amount of weeds you have in your beds throughout the winter.
Deep Root Fertilization provides essential nutrients for a healthy and vigorous plant and is designed to ensure a bountiful return following winter weather.
Once a program is designed for your property , our technicians perform the scheduled visits in a timely and effective manner. They will also be performing and recording a full evaluation of the plants on the property with each visit.
