Tree and Shrub Program

Emerald Green offers a Tree and Shrub Program that is designed to improve and maintain plant health and vigor and suppress most common pest problems by using environmentally benign and economically sound control strategies. The recommended program for your trees and shrubs may include some or all of the following visits depending on plant type and condition:

Early Spring

An early Spring application of pre-emergent weed control in landscape beds will help to cut back on the amount of weeds you have in your landscape beds throughout the summer.

Early Spring

Also in the early Spring, an application of dormant oil sprays will control over-wintering and early season insects and/or mites.

Spring

There are three phases of the insect and disease treatment, each phase timed to address the current threat to your trees and shrubs.  The Spring treatment addresses the early season insects and diseases.  While we are there, we do a foliar fertilization to promote a healthy color to your trees and shrubs.

Early Summer

The second phase of the insect and disease treatments addresses the mid-season threat to your trees and shrubs.  Again, we do the foliar fertilization.

Summer

The third phase of the insect and disease treatments addresses the late season threat.  Once again, we do the foliar fertilization to maintain the healthy appearance developed through the Spring treatments.

Early Fall

In the early Fall, we apply pre-emergent weed control in landscape beds. This application will help to cut back on the amount of weeds you have in your landscape beds throughout the winter.

Late Fall

Deep Root Fertilization provides essential nutrients for a healthy and vigorous plant.

Once a program is designed for your property , our Arborists perform the scheduled visits in a timely and effective manner. They will also be performing and recording a full evaluation of the plants on the property with each visit.
